Cycling in the Alps – Col du Petit Saint-Bernard
25th June 2021 | Courchevel
Our Courchevel agent Dave Morris cycles the famous Col de Petit st Bernard and tells us why the French Alps are a huge destination for enthusiasts
In the Tarentaise, there are a plethora of summer sporting activities that you can take part in. When the winter is over and the skis are packed away the bikes come out. Straight out of the door from the Espace Killy and Les 3 Vallées you are into Tour de France terrain with countless cols to challenge you. The explosion in popularity of E-bike cycling also means that there are accessible ways to summit without being extraordinarily fit.
Many ski enthusiasts share an equal passion for the road bike. Being allowed to spend 90 days in France in every 180 still means that you could ski from January until the end of March and then coming out for the main summer cycling months in June, July and August.
